Have you ever desired to soar like the birds? Ever wonder what they see or hear from way up there? If you have spent time on Catalina you know that there is extreme natural beauty everywhere surrounding the island especially Avalon.

At Parasailng Catalina we have been soaring people over these areas for 25 years, as of this year. Not many people or companies anywhere in the world can match that. Our perfect saftey record should give you peace of mind before you get anxiety about heights. It is not like a rollercoaster and not like standing on the edge of a building it is gentle, peacefull and actually very quiet.

The first commercial operation in North America was started in 1978 by Kevin Kramer, brother and a group of friends interested providing people with a birds eye view into Lake Tahoe, the commercail parasail industry was spawned! SInce then Kevin and his team has helped developed much of the innovations that has made parasailing a safe and efficient business. North Shore Parasail has been in opperation since 1978 and is still in operation today.

This year Parasailing Catalina is excited to announce the partnership between North Shore Parasail and Parasailing Catalina. The team at North Shore Parasail hooked up with a leading boat manufacture to design and create the most stable, widest and quite possibly the best looking parasail boat in history. Building this boat was a fitting evolution to the guys at North Shore Parasail and Parasailing Catalina, two of the original commercial parasail operators in the USA and most certainly the premeir Catalina Island company for sensational parasailing adventures.

Just make a reservation at the company's ticket booth, or call (310)510-1777 which is located 50 yards from the ferry terminal accross from the basketball courts. There you can make a choice on how high you wish to fly, 1400' or 900'. The longer line is due to the strict saftely proceedures followed and employed by Parasailing Catalina, and North Shore Parasail, as testement to 1) their leadership and membership in the WSIA (WaterSports Industry of America) which happens to be the original and longest operating United States water safety association and 2) their perfect saftey record with over 300,000 people flown between the two. You will be directed to the float where you will board the stunning parasail boat the "Flight 33". From there you will be greated by mellow tunes coming from the high end stereo system and the smiling faces of the crew who will entertain you and instill confidence in your parasailing adventure. You'll head out into the waters beyond the harbor, and a trained professional will make sure you have all the instructions you need to get your adventure underway!

Thats it, off you go, gently lifted high into the air while the captain lets the line out off the boats winch, on your way up to a stunning vantage point. During your 8 to 12-minute parasail adventure, you'll be overwhelmed by the breathtaking views of the surroundings, the water, the islands unique features and interior as the breeze flows by you and through the chute, absolute bliss. Often parasailers view large packs of dolphins, seals and on occasion whales have even been spotted!

Some people have flown before but the elite ceritification and longer rope wows even the parasailing veteran! That said the only thing left is to decide when you and your family will be back to make more memories!
